DIY Flash Card Gift Set

I think it is fun to challenge ourselves to think off the card, and bring our stamping and coloring to different projects.  The moment I saw Learning is an Adventure from Kindred Stamps, I knew I wanted to create a project for kids.  I had read over a year ago about someone that made flashcards using the Altenew's Space Travel stamp set.  Kindred Stamps does have a space themed set called Outer Space, but the planets were too small for this idea.  (Although, a set of colorable planet stickers would be awesome with the set!)

I cut cards 2.5" x 3.5" (the same as Artist Trading Cards, or ATCs) and stamped each planet, including the sun and Pluto, using VersaFine Onyx Black ink.  I then rounded the corners using my Crop-A-Dile Corner Chomper.  

After coloring up our red-headed teacher and her magical bus, I grabbed a premade milk carton style box to house my fun color me flash cards.  I used a sheet of (awesome) cloudy/spacey sky from Pink Paislee's Wild Child paper pad to line the front panel and attached the images and sentiment.  I then stuffed in the stack of coloring flash cards and a new pack of 24 crayons.  A binder clip held the box closed and this fun, space adventure was complete!

I also make a fun coin ATC (2.5" in diameter) as an example for the open ATC swap sponsored by Kindred Stamps!!  The sun is from Outer Space and the sentiments are from Learning is an Adventure.  The teacher is a removable magnet too!  I hope Audra liked her fun surprise!  xo
