Today I'm sharing a trio of cards using the Hero Arts May 2026 release You're a Classic. I love the mixture of playful elements with classic statues and formal columns. Even my young daughters thought this collection was a lot of fun. (Especially since my youngest is reading the Percy Jackson books.)

I stamped both statues in grey dye ink then used the coordinating stencil to color them with Lost Shadow and Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Inks.
The balloon animal and bubblegum bubble were both stamped with a fuchsia dye ink. I used a damp brush to pull the ink from the outline of the bubble, coloring in the inside. LIkewise, I used a damp brush to pull away some of the ink from the balloon animal where highlights would fall. After die cutting, I covered both with Glaze 'n Glue, giving them a gorgeous glossy look.
I cut a wee slit beneath the dude's hand so I could tuck the stamp and cut balloon string into his grip. The card just makes me smile.
That shine makes all the difference.
For a more serious card, I chose to feature the beautiful die elements, lightly inked, for a clean and simple (less silly) card.
