To say it is an honor to be a part of the new Witt & Sass Stamp Co. is an understatement. Witt & Sass launched their first stamp collection last weekend, so please click over to see the awesome sets she has released. The design team will be sharing one set per week (for the next 5 weeks), showcasing the many different ways we got crafty with the sets. This week is all about Chubby Unicorn!

Who doesn't love a unicorn? Better yet, who doesn't love THIS unicorn with curves?! These images and sentiments are just so fun--perfect for cool summer cards and magical birthday wishes.
I stamped the unicorn in VersaFine Onyx Black ink, embossed with clear embossing powder, and colored with Copic Markers. I created the "postcard" scene using the Background Builder Wave Stencil, Layered Stencil Leaves, Layered Stencil Clouds, and Background Builder Sun Stamp, and Distress Oxide inks. For the postmark lines, I curved the striped stamp with stars and stamped twice. The sentiment, "Sup?", I embossed in white. I cut this scene out using a postage stamp die and adhered at an angle on some fun, colorful rainbow striped paper. I mounted the panel using foam tape, and then added our too cool for school unicorn, also using foam tape. For more vacation feel, I inked up three of the layered stencil leaves and fussy cut out, tucking a couple behind the unicorn.
I used the third leaf, a strip of that rainbow paper, and sentiment to the inside of the card. A pink heart, and some bling inside and outside of the card finished her up! This card fits the W&S Card Challenge for Pink/Green - Rectangles - Rhinestones. :)
My second card is much softer in color and style.
I stamped and embossed the other unicorn in white onto watercolor paper, then I watercolored her with my Distress Markers and a water brush. I painted metallic gold ink onto her horn, mane, and tail using Delicata gold ink, using the same as shadows on the clear embossed clouds in the sky. The background is not inked; it is scrapbook paper! I embossed the sentiment in gold and cut the lower panel using Lawn Fawn's Puffy Cloud Borders Dies. A scattering of sequins and bits finished off this soft, sweet scene. She looks like cotton candy to me.. yummy! lol
