Oh my goodness, I found an amazing new (to me) stamp company!!
The Ink Road stamps have some of the funniest sentiments! I purchased one of their newest stamp sets called The One With All The Stamps. (Click HERE for BIG savings if you are new to them!!) It is PACKED with the best sentiments inspired by the show Friends. I promise you, you NEED this set. You really do. I mean it. ;)
I also popped the caps off of my new Tonic Studio's Nuvo Mica Mist sprays!! They are wonderful! I used Antique Gold and Silver Smoke on my kraft cardstock. I did use my heat gun to speed up the drying time, but they are very lustrous and beautiful. The gold adds a hint of interest against the kraft base, without stealing the show so to speak.
The mica sheen may still be hard to really capture, but it is there! Next, I just build my scene! I colored two images from Sweet Stamp Shop's T-Rex Hugs using colored pencils and fussy cut out. I had a scrap of some inked dirt leftover from another project and decided to use it as the ground at the bottom of the card front. I decided to stamp the sentiment from The One With.. on two different pieces of paper to add fun contrast. I wanted to keep the colors muted with bold pops of the black and white. I foam mounted my front panel, which I trimmed down to 4" x 5.25", onto a top-folding card base. (Tip.. I use a black Copic marker to color the front edges of the card base.) To finish the card, I added a couple strips of striped washi tape and a sprinkling of Black Ebony Nuvo Crystal drops.
I love the pops of color and that amazing Nuvo sheen!! Thanks for joining me.. until next time, fairy friends! xoxo
