That's Amore

This week the designers for both Kindred Stamps and Beth Duff Designs are collaborating on projects involving travel abroad.  I am delighted to share the card I created using Puppy Love from Kindred Stamps and Adventures Abroad - Italy from Beth Duff Designs. 

I first began with the Distress Brick stencil from Kindred Stamps (a new favorite of mine), blending distress oxide inks in Fired Brick with these blending brushes.  I did lightly blend over the finished background with my dry brush, helping soften the white just a bit.  To ground the scene, I merely swiped a dark Copic marker (C7) along the bottom of the card front.  I used the chef and bottles from the AA - Italy set, shortening the tray and adding the wine and olive oil bottles instead.  I tucked another bottle behind that sweet little lover boy, who is sharing a heart noodle with his amore.  Both of the pups are adhered with foam adhesive for dimension, as is the sentiment.  All other elements were glued flat to the card front.  The window image was from my stash.
