The new digital release for Beat.Paper is now available! I used two teachers from her new Teachers collection to embellish these library card pockets. I have two free digital downloads as well -- Free Blank Library Cards (updated) and Free Library Card and Pocket Template (updated). The pockets I created today are 0.5" shorter than my template, but that was just my preference today.
I colored both teachers with Spectrum Noir TriBlend alcohol markers. The quotes were typed on my typewriter and added to the front of the library pockets. Since I added the bold background to the inside back of the pockets, I wanted minimal embellishment to the front of the pockets. I love the simplicity and bold feel to them. I am a HUGE fan of The Magic School Bus and had fun coloring one of the teachers to look like her. I loved the quote I found from Dr. Mae Jemison as well and added her with the other teacher. (Dr. Jemison was the first African American woman to travel into space.)
