My daughters and I love Studio Ghibli films, including My Neighbor Totoro and Spirited Away. If you aren't familiar with them, they are animated films with fun characters and beautiful life meanings. My cards today were inspired by the soot sprites that can be seen in both of the films I mentioned previously. They scurry about and always make us giggle. They can be seen collecting pink, yellow, and blue stars which is why I wanted to use the awesome Wishing and Falling Stars 3D Embossing Folder and BetterPress combo for the backgrounds. I used alcohol markers to color a few of the embossed stars on each panel.
I splattered Sparkle Splatter Effects onto both background panels and painted it onto the 3 die cut stars seen on the first card. I absolutely adore how both cards turned out and hope those that also love the cutie soot sprites appreciate my projects as well.
