Scrappy Boy Stamps: August 2024 Release

It's time to kick off the August 2024 release with  Scrappy Boy Stamps.  This month's Fairytale release is Little Red Riding Hood.  I also created with Cute Kids Halloween Dress Up and Haunted Halloween.

For the kraft panel, I dry embossed the Basket Weave Background Stencil to provide such fun texture.

I tried to create the feel of a door with the stenciled panel.  (Can you see the black sequin "door knob"?)

Above is a mini album!  I will record a video flip through of the album as well as a peek at all of my release projects this month.  I followed this tutorial to create my album.

My tip to gluing the letters on straight:  line them up on a grid mat/board/piece of paper and then lay a piece of washi tape across the top of all the letters.  Then pull them up, add glue and place on your project!  Allow the glue to dry and then carefully remove the washi.

I had a lot of fun distressing the background on this one.  I started by inking the Spooky Eyes Background Stencil with Twisted Citron Distress Oxide ink onto a piece of 4.25" x 5.5" black cardstock.  I kept the stencil in place and then layering a gel medium with holographic flecks in it over the ink.  I think it makes the eyes sort of glow.  I then used my score board to create scored lines about 3/16" and 1/4" from each edge so that the embossed line was on the front.  Using white pigment ink, I highlighted the scores and bit and smokied up the perimeter.  (Yes, that's a word, I just made it up.  lol)  To create the look of spooky mist behind our ghostly dude, I inked the panel lightly with the same white ink.  Cool, right?
