Today I want to share some yummy treat tags using the Skull and Cross Buns set Retro Sweeties. Don't forget that Emily, the beloved owner, will be LIVE on Create and Craft UK this Sunday sharing this set and several others!
I began by stamping out a simple wrapping paper and "ribbon" using the gummy bear, hearts, and jelly bean images. I selected a rainbow of Catherine Pooler inks which made it a one stamp job (thank goodness!). I tried to stamp each image an equal amount of times to keep it balanced. I did not wrap anything with the papers yet since I sent them to sweet Emily in the post instead. The lollipop treat was created using a Jaded Blossom die. The sentiment was stamped and embossed on a vellum tag, and hung over the lolly wrapper, stamped with hearts and a gummy bear beneath (hard to see in the picture). I colored the open letters in the word "SWEET" in a rainbow of colors.
My second project was this fun candy topper, using the bottle candy stamp from the set and the Retro Sweeties Jumbo Embellish! gummy bear. The speech bubbles were traced from the Speech Bubbles Large Stencil, and the sentiments within are from Quirky Sentiments. Surprisingly, I learned that the Haribo Star Mix available here in the states is different than that in the UK. No friend eggs or puffy hearts in our mix!
