I thought it would be fun to pair the Furever Friends stamp set from Sassy & Crafty with newspaper treat bags. I watercolored the doggies with Karin Markers on Sweet Sentiment Premium Cardstock (affiliate link) and scribbled through the Comic Book Circles Stencil 2-Pack with waterbrush markers onto the front of the paper bags (die from Jaded Blossom). I tried to ink the stencil with distress oxide inks but the colors weren't quite bold enough on the newspaper. But, the waterbrush markers were perfect! I used a 1 3/4" circle punch to cut the sentiment and backed with a scrap of cereal box. I popped each of the pups up with scraps of cardboard as well and then stuffed the bags with yummy treats. I really love the newsprint here and plan to incorporate on more projects in the future. Such a fun medium! I love to use book pages and think newsprint will become a new regular as well.
