For those that are new to my blog, or have forgotten, I have a monthly blog feature titled Fairy Art, in which I showcase cards I've made using my daughters' paintings! Not only have I enjoyed encouraging them to paint, but they smile so big when they see their works presented in such a way. In fact, my eldest, A, who will be 4 in under a month (how?!?!), has requested to make her PaPa a card every.single.day since she knows he will be visiting soon. She LOVES to use mommy's special markers and has gotten quite adept at placing and stamping using my stamp positioner. I admit that I influenced what colors the girls used this month -- I wanted to assure I would have some awesome winter backdrops. I gave them mixtures of blue, white, and some glitter paint. My eldest also added in various shades of glitter glue at her request. I think their works lend themselves quite nicely to these oh, so squishy huge Yetis from Mama Elephant's Yeti It's Cold Outside stamp set. And, honestly, the fact that Mama Elephant thought to include children playmates for the Yetis makes this set even more special and fun! I hope you enjoy the creates for this month! Remember, any funds received for the sale of a Fairy Art card goes directly into the girls' piggy banks.
The next two are all A! The penguin is, well, for her PaPa of course and the troll was sent to the daughter of a dear sweet crafty friend of mine. The penguin card uses Pretty Pink Posh's Winter Wonderland, and the troll card uses Your Next Stamp's Insanely Happy stamp set. A choses the colors, sentiments and placement on all of her personal card designs.
Thank you for your support, and I hope the Fairy Art monthly feature will inspire you to do the same. :)
Until next time, lovelies.. xo
