Nature's Abundance with Gecko Galz

I'm on the Gecko Galz blog today with projects following the challenge theme this month -- Nature's Abundance.

All of the Autumn Queens image are absolutely stunning.. I just selected to use this one for an embellished art journal page.  I always love when my torn book pages have sentences or phrases that coordinate with my projects.  That is never just happenstance; I carefully selected to position this beauty atop the page with the sentence above and below showing.  It creates a whole different layer of embellishing (I think).

For my second project, I created a card using this sweet squirrel munching amongst a copious amount of pumpkins and squash.  I found this sentiment in my stash and it made me giggle.  I distressed the perimeter of the squirrel image and layered it atop and ink-smooshed die cut leaf.

For my final project, I embellished the top of a container filled with yogurt covered raisins.  The sentiment was from the same set used on my card.  A different die cut leaf in gold was layered atop a doily cut from a vintage book page.  Our sweet fox sits atop, nested comfortably amongst a cozy pile of autumn leaves.
