Mirror Stamping with Neat & Tangled's Cottontail Cuties

Just a quick peek at my attempt at mirror stamping using the super adorable Neat and Tangled set titled Cottontail Cuties.  I created this card for the Crafty Doodle Chick Paw-Fect Challenge #1 (she has this adorable stamp set in her shop)!  Easter is right around the corner, and I couldn't resist this sweet girl in her bunny jumper!  I wanted to use the girl holding that sweet little chick and have the turned bunny looking up at her.  The stamp itself is turned the opposite direction so this was the perfect opportunity to play with mirror stamping!

There are a few ways to mirror stamp.  Since I had to do this quickly in the midst of parenting my two young girls, I moved quickly with what was close by--my MISTI stamp positioner.  I simply laid the stamp down on my paper with the stamp edge up, bunny's stamp back on a piece of acetate to hold him in place.  I inked up the bunny and stamped him onto the lid of my MISTI.  Or rather, stamped the lid onto him.  I repeated that multiple times to assure lots of ink.  Then, I removed the acetate with the bunny, slide in my paper with some extra padding underneath (grabbed a spare stamp set) and closed the lid down onto my paper, pushing the ink onto my paper.  The image was not super clear, so I traced it with my Copic Multiliner pens to finish the image.  It isn't perfect, but I am happy!  Next, I colored with my Copic markers (comment if you want the colors I used) and assembled my card!!

I used a beautiful plaid paper from my stash behind the image, and mounted our cuties with foam tape after wrapping some Ocean Sparkle Cord from Lawn Fawn twine around the bottom.  A drop of Glossy Accents for the bunny nose and on the eggs finished the scene, and a trio of the amazing Nuvo Crystal Drops in Duck Egg Blue completed the card.

I hope you adore this card as much as I do, and find the courage to try mirror stamping with me!  I think this definitely gave me the confidence to try it again!
