Learning something new

Alcohol ink markers, like Copics, Spectrum Noir, and several other brands, have become all the rage lately among stampers and coloring artists alike.  And, admittedly, they are a bit addictive to use!  The colors lay down so vibrant and smooth and blend incredibly well!  With practice, I am confident my coloring skills will continue to improve using this new technique.
Copic Alcohol Marker Coloring Stamping Practice Mermaids Kittens

My collection of markers is quite small compared to many other crafting geniuses out there.  But as I grow, I am quite sure my stock in colors will too!  I used my Copic Ciao markers and various Spectrum Noir marker sets to color the stamped images here.  The Little Mermaids set by The Greeting Farm is too adorable!  There are two more mermaids included in the set, as well as several fish and underwater themed sentiments.  The kitties are from Avery Elle's collection Furry Friends.  I chose to play with the kitten stamps today, but the set does include adorable puppies.

Which of you have tried your hand at coloring with alcohol markers?  Any favorite brands?  I plan on trying my watercolor markers and pencils next to compare results.  I think they will each have their place--depending on desired look.
