I have fallen in love with Lavinia Stamps (as many of you already have). I recently purchased both Fairytale and Forest Spruce from 7 Kids Craft Store and couldn't wait to find the right project to break them in. I began by creating a tag for the Tag game in the 7 Kids Customers Create! Facebook group and then needed to make a second tag since a couple people liked it.
So, since I was ink blending again, I thought it would be fun to copy the tag design and make a card to enter their Birthday Challenge in the group. I blended Distress Oxide inks in Fossilized Amber, Carved Pumpkin, Picked Raspberry, and Wilted Violet for my glowing summer sky. The fairy image was stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. The Forest Spruce stamp was inked with Teal and Blue Encore! Ultimate Metallic inks (these are beautiful!) with a touch of silver to the tips to echo that reflected glow. For the tag, the sentiment was from a Tim Holtz clear stamp set in my stash. The sentiment for the card below is from My Favorite Things Fairy Happy stamp set.
The fun bit--the inked panel is (barely) attached the card front for easy removal! It doubles as a bookmark, and the fairy image is stamped behind the panel so the card isn't left blank once the bookmark is removed! Yay! To say that I will add more Lavinia to my collection is an understatement. I love silhouette images and Lavinia's images are so whimsical and magical. Until next time, loves..
