The next Kitty Bee Designs Aloha Friday Challenge #125 is all about birthdays! I chose to use the Flower Pot Explosion image from sponsor Scrap N Dipity. Later, I will share a card using our other sponsor, NitWit, because their collections are so worth sharing (and they have gnomes!).
I printed the image and colored with a rainbow of Copic markers, trying to keep the colors limited, so the image wouldn't become too busy--pinks/reds, green, blue, and yellow. To play off of the fun, colorful image, I layered the flowerpot onto Lawn Fawn's plaid paper. The colors are nearly all there and it plays so nicely with the image. The plaid panel was popped up on foam tape over the scalloped yellow panel, then adhered flat to the top-folding A2 cardbase. The sentiment is from WPlus9, embossed in white on a scrap of green cardstock. Isn't this image so fun! I love all of the smiling faces exploding out of that flowerpot.
Those of you that know me, also know I love all things fairies and mushrooms (duh.. the frolicking fairy) so selecting this fun, playful image was a no-brainer for me.
