I just LOVE how this paper-pieced flag turned out. I created with strips of 0.5" pieces of a red and white-ish patterned papers. The blue piece in upper left corner is 2" x 2.5". What a great way to use some of my stash of papers! I colored all of the images with Spectrum Noir TriBlend alcohol markers.
Again, using 0.5" strips of paper, I layered them atop this fun blue triangle print that made me think of shattered glass. I layered the strips of red and white/grey behind the sentiment label -- to keep with the patriotic red, white, and blue theme and add more interest and movement.
For my third card, I cut one of the filmstrip sections from the Filmstrip Craft Die, backing it with the same white/grey paper used in the first two projects. I used a leftover strip of red and the same blue patterned paper seen in the flag card. I think using single chunks of the filmstrip die may be my new favorite thing (see today's second blog post featuring Cupid's Crew sneak peeks).
