Welcome to the August release with Kindred Stamps! Today we kick off the first day of peeks with Strength and Honor, a bit of a remake from one of the (now retired) smaller princess sets. I just love the character images from this set and think you will too.
I colored our sweet princess with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, using the following colors for her dress: LG4 JG4 AG4 DR2 DR4 LY1 GY1 TB5 TB8. Her skin was colored with the Fair Skin TriBlend and for her hair I used black and cool grey 7 and 5. To create the background above, I embossed the flower multiple times with a beautiful shimmery pink embossing powder and loosely watercolored both the flowers and background. I stamped the sentiment on a scrap of pink and assembled the card.
You'll laugh - I was about to toss a take-out menu when I saw this image on the front and had that A-HA! moment. So I layered the picture on red, popped up slightly then adhered atop another layer of yellow. For the background, I lightly inked the Damask stencil with Lucky Clover Distress Oxide ink. The sentiment was stamped directly onto the top panel and our warrior princess added with foam tape.
