Kindred Stamps: Sexy Friends

Welcome to the Kindred Stamps February release!  I admit that today's sneak peek had me carried away with excitement.  (giggle)  I adore this group of New York girlfriends and think many of you will too.  Sexy Friends is such a great set to use with friends, whether you do it for fandom sake or not.

All images were colored with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.  For the project above, I die cut a purse and stenciled the Damask stencil with tone-on-tone ink on the purse flap.  I cut the sentiment so I could layer to fit on the body of the purse, then added our sweet peplum-clad friend.

For my second project, I created a pocket tag using this sassy friend.  The pocket is perfect for any little treat (wink wink).  The vellum window offers a bit of privacy, don't you think?

My final project HAD to be a post-it note holder.  I've made fancier versions in the past, but thought a simple holder would suffice.  I cut a strip of paper 6.5" long by 3 1/8" wide, scoring at 3" and 3.5" along the long side.  I did reinforce the back with a piece of chipboard.  The cover was inked with Picket Fence Distress Oxide ink with the Damask stencil, then lightly darkened along the bottom edge with Picked Raspberry Distress Ink.  I love how the oxide stenciled image stands out with the darker pink ink blending along the edge.  The sentiment was stamped along the bottom edge and the post-it sentiment was stamped onto a scrap of the post-it paper within.  I LOVE it!
