I recently pulled out the Kindred Stamps set It's Good to be Bad to use for the April release, featuring the witch devoted to her evil master.
I will be sharing all my creations featuring Masters of Magic soon, along with my Coloring Guide, so subscribe below to be get it delivered. :) Here is a peek.
With Mother's Day around the corner, I just had to use that hooded evil witch on a card! She turned out not to be such a loving mother to the kidnapped tower princess. As a result, this card isn't a sappy, sweet Mother's Day card, but rather one that is a bit funnier, and a tad snarky. I love how it turned out!
While I was practicing my no-line watercoloring, I decided to play with the sea witch as well! What a fun character!! I also set out to play with some alcohol inks for her background, in her deep ocean lair. This was my first experience with alcohol inks and I am pleased with the result. I did use glossy photo paper instead of Yupo paper since it is cheaper for me to play with as I learn what I am doing. I fussy cut out the witch and her two eel evil-doers and added them to my sea background. I did emboss the sentiment in white first (but note to self, photo paper and a heat gun do not mix well--sweep the heat to avoid burning the paper). I super love how the whole card came together!
If you haven't gotten this set yet, you really should consider adding it to your Kindred collection (because, I know you have a collection like I do). The sentiments are perfect for SO many cards outside of the images contained in this set, just like the evil witch from Masters of Magic that I shared above. How many of you have played with these evil villains? Do you have a favorite from my shares today? I think the sea witch may be mine.. Until next time, my friends.. xo
