Holly Jolly Christmas

For my weekly Strawberry Jude Stamps share, I wanted to create a Christmas card that was a little less festive, if you will.  :)  Introducing their amazing stamp set Awesome Memes.  I have yet to play with it and thought one of the ladies from the set would be perfect for my intended style of card.  For the "Holly Jolly" and "Merry Christmas" sentiments, I used their retiring (and on sale) stamp set called Tag It: Christmas--it is a larger set packed with beautiful Christmas sentiments.  I have used the set several times over the last month.  I chose to loosely color the lady with my Tombow Dual Brush Pens, using very basic holiday colors.  I decided to add a smattering of holly on the card front, purposely stamping off some of the ink before stamping the image onto my card front.  I wanted to remain consistent with the feel of the loose coloring.  The "awesome" sentiments are from the Awesome Memes set as well.  A scattering of gold sequins finished off the card!  And, you know, I really like this one!  It is fun, light-hearted, and a fun contrast to the more proper holiday card.  (You can order one here.)

So, be honest, what do you think our Miss Holly has in that tea cup?  Leave me a comment with your thoughts.  :)

This card is also being entered into Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.  This week, Simon Says: Anything Goes! You can read more about this Wednesday Challenge here and see more inspiration!

Until next time.. xo
