I have created this adorable mermaid Hello Kitty purse pillow box (medium) using dies from ScrapDiva Designs. The image on the front and one side of the box is a wallpaper image I found online, and the patterned paper with holographic seaweed is from The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby) called Mermaid Dreams.
The side tag is from the Lipstick Gift Box die set. The sentiment sticker is from Jen Hadfield Heart of Home Word Stickers.
I hot glued the top flap down as well as the left side in the picture. I added a velcro dot to the right side but I'm not happy with how loosely it is holding the side. I have idea on how to address this on the next one though. Otherwise, I suggest a slimmer profile velcro dot (mine are the puffier ones). I'm likely being too particular, but we're our own worst critics. :) I still think it turned out super cute.
I did elect to use the optional zipper and zipper pull on the back. I think it looks super cute. I even used the wee zipper bow on the hang tag.
