This month, i-Crafter has collaborated with Lori Whitlock for a collection of interactive dies. (Affiliate links used in this post; I appreciate your support!) For their new release, I played with House Favor Box, which has elements for use all year. With the next big holiday being Halloween, I thought it would be fun to make a wee haunted house treat box.
I used various patterned papers from my stash for the body of the house, the eaves, and the roof. Kraft card was used from the fence and the trees, vellum for the ghosts, and black for the door, windows, bats, scallop roof detail. I cut the back of the pumpkin from gold foil paper from Piece Craft Love, layering the orange pumpkin face atop it.
I layered vellum behind the windows and door. For the base of the favor box, I cut a scrap of paper 1.75" x 2.75". If you want a tighter fit, though, cut your base 1 7/8" x 2 7/8". I wanted to have a wee bit of glue wiggle room when assembling for the first time and my smaller base worked perfectly fine.
I was able to very easily fit three Godiva chocolates within the favor box.
