A very sweet crafty friend gifted me the super adorable Jungle Littles stamp set from Hello Bluebird. I decided to create a fun window card with the monkey hanging on the vine over the front panel opening. I masked a circular space onto the card front, lightly tracing the circle in pencil for fussy cutting later, then stamped the vine, monkey, and banana in Copic friendly ink. After coloring the images, I fussy cut out the images and around the circular window opening. To strengthen the vine and monkey, I covered the entire back of the images with Glossy Accents to give them more stability.
Not wanting to leave the front panel white, I grabbed a soft green cardstock from my stash, trimmed the panel to 5 3/8" x 4 1/8", and traced the window opening. Then I layered the leaves around the uncut panel opening using Catherine Pooler ink in Sea Foam. I added some Copic color to the leaves, using the same colors as those on the vine and then fussy cut out the window on the front panel as well.
For the inside of the card, I elected to just ink a cloudy sky using the same mask and stamped the sentiment using VersaFine ink onto the inner cloudy sky. (Yes, I'm a sentiment cutter.)
For a bit of added interest, I colored up a couple more bananas and flowers to embellish the card front, popping up the flowers with foam tape.
I adore this card! I love all of the sweet little faces in this Jungle Littles stamp set so I am sure you will see me use it again in the future. But for now, go wild!
