I have FINALLY printed out the monthly images so generously sent to all Gecko Galz subscribers this month. I finally purchased an amazing printer and happily set about creating this lot of projects for the different July challenges. I used my typewriter for some custom sentiments, sentiment stamps from the amazing Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps (affiliate link; thank you!), various dies from my collection (including Graphic 45), and sentiment stickers/ephemera from Idea-ology. I hope you enjoy this mash up of projects. I thoroughly enjoyed creating them.
I LOVE this steampunk image. So so much. I love steampunk designs but never know how to create them. It doesn't come as naturally, but I loved how this one came together and felt me.
Another ocean themed project with this beautiful seahorse. I used a scrap of Fairy Hugs printed paper to create this slimline mini card/bookmark. I stenciled the fish with black texture paste and layered the tag, ticket, and typewritten sentiments about our beautiful digital clipart. I love using complementary colors.
I stained several pages of printer paper with espresso grounds. I cut one down for the background, very lightly stenciling this damask design. The sentiment is from Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps.
I added some tulle in soft pink behind the image and sentiments, using my Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher to hold everything together. I liked the simplicity of the design, so I chose not to embellish further. The sentiment is from Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps.
Since this bombshell image was smaller, and I wasn't creating an ATC, I thought a 3"x4" journaling card would be perfect. I layered a piece of Mirri gold paper from Piece Craft Love (save 10% with code: FROLICKINGFAIRY10) beneath the image, and layered a snarky sentiment sticker from Idea-ology.
My Gothic Challenge entry makes me giggle. I used black embossing paste through a stencil over the top of my black notecard before adhering the lady in mourning. The moment I saw this sentiment, I knew it was perfect. The sentiment is from Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps.
My final project for July features the Christmas image this month. I layered die cuts from i-Crafter (affiliate link) behind the photo, a typewritten sentiment and a pleated paper element at the bottom.
Thank you to those that read to the bottom. Again, I hope you had fun seeing such a vast array of projects using these beautiful freebie images from Gecko Galz. xx
