For Day 18 of Kathy Racoosin's The Daily Marker 30 Day coloring challenge, I chose to play with Lawn Fawn's newest STAMPtember exclusive release entitled Christmas Like No Otter. I love that the stamp set is not just a seasonal set for Christmas; it contains sentiments making it perfect throughout the year! I think it would be an adorable set for Valentine's Day too! This card was made for a special friend who made my day! Sometimes a smile and compliment mean the most! So, thank you Heather!
The background was inked with distress ink, splotched around and the sweet wave like stitch lines were added, for interest and to mimic the waves. (Notice the cute heart stitching in the upper right corner?) I colored the adorable otters with Copic alcohol markers and diecut them with their companion dies. Using a beautiful deep blue glimmer cardstock, I die cut this stitched circle to foam-mount the otter girl friends on. I added eyelashes to the one otter to girly him up a bit, and thought the seashells would be a fun touch--adding one to one otter's hair and the other in hand. The image is gold embossed and adds a nice shine. A few gold sequins finished off the card!
I hope she loves her card, and knows how much she means to me (and to all of the others in her circle of friends). ...xo
