Hello everyone! I'm on the Crackerbox Stamps (affiliate links used throughout) blog today sharing a card for lovers of the Christmas classic A Christmas Story. Would you believe that I only just watched this movie recently?! I thoroughly enjoyed it and laughed so hard, as did both of my girls. The Leg Lamp is such an iconic image during the holidays so I couldn't resist inking it up.

To make the shipping crate, I cut 3 strips of kraft paper 1" x 4" and 2 strips 0.25" x 3 1/18". I lightly inked the edges and glued the kraft strips onto a scrap of cardboard. I stamped the sentiment "Fra-gee-lay" across the crate. To break up the expanse of kraft, I added paper punched snowflakes.
I stamped the longer sentiment inside, shadow stamping the lamp over the sentiment. (To do this, I inked the leg lamp and stamped the first time onto a scrap of paper, removed the stamped on scrap, and then stamped a second time--2nd generation stamping--onto the card itself.) Using a blender brush, I added a touch of yellow glue to the lamp shade.
