Merry Christmas Eve!! The holidays seemed to sneak up so fast this year! I hope you enjoy my pair of dinosaur projects using Your Next Stamps Dino-mite Holiday -- these little dudes look very excited that Christmas is here.
I am entering both of these projects into the current Your Next Stamp Challenge #194 - Gifts. I posted the snowglobe project yesterday on my Instagram HERE.
I intended to make it a shaker snowglobe, but realized the sequins would end up drowning that happy little raptor. So, I added the elements with dimension and still enclosed with an acetate window. It will accompany a gift for my eldest this year. (She LOVES dinosaurs just like I do.)
The second card I created with a pencil and ruler. I very lightly traced lines every 0.5" after stamping my sentiment (1" from the top of the card) and dinosaur image so I would know his placement when adding my rows of sequins.
Using a jewel tool, I ran a line of glue along my pencil line and then started adding bling! I decided to do each row a single color. I used the beautiful Christmas Confetti mix from Mixing My Way.
Isn't it so fun?! I used the white(r) bits to break up the space around our jolly dino to mimic snowfall. Then I colored him up on a scrap of paper using OLO Markers and adhered him above his shadow layer beneath with dimension (doubling the layer beneath his head so it would stick out just a bit more). This card just screams holiday happy to me (and I hope it makes you smile).
