Festival of Christmas: Gingerbread Girl

I'm back for the fourth week of the Festival of Christmas.  Due to sickness (and life) I regretted missing out on last week's post.  But, I'm back for this week's theme of Treat Containers, Gifts, and Ornaments.  Today's project features the newly released Gingerbread Girl from Downland Crafts.  I love how large she is compared to other gingerbread people out there, and they are quick to color.

I stamped her onto Kraft cardstock and colored with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.  I did add a bit of color just inside the white icing edge of the gingerbread for a bit extra depth.  I fussy cut her out and added her atop a treat container full of gingerbread cookies.  Yes I made them and they are tasty!  (I must admit, though, that they did come from a box mix. *wink)

Don't forget to visit the other amazing paper artists on this hop!

  • Hope you’re feeling better. I hate the way sickness and life get in the way of crafting. I especially love the white details you’ve added to her, they really make her pop.
