I'm on the i-crafter blog today with the cutest little Easter bunny mailbox! (Affiliate links used throughout; thank you for your support!)

I decided to let the patterned paper do the work dressing up this mailbox for Easter. I used an older Doodlebug Designs collection called Easter Express.
I hide the flaps/teeth on the back, I cut an extra back panel from the same patterned paper used to wrap around the top of the box. I also strategically die cut a bunny face to feature on the top of the mailbox flag.
I used one of the cut aparts from the paper pad to add the words "easter bunny" and the wee bunny face above the die cut word "mail" on the front door.
For some reason, I could not keep this little mailbox closed. Since that may happen to some of you, I came up with an easy enough solution that didn't detract from the overall design of this cute mailbox. I created a very narrow belly band (0.25" x 8") and kept it snug at the very bottom of the box, as seen in the pictures above. This not only held the door closed, but kept the door side flaps flushed (since they were somewhat sticking out before). If you are concerned about the door opening in transit, this may be a good option anyway to assure the treats that you tuck inside stay securely in the box.
