I decided to incorporate mixed media into my projects with this collection. I used to create collages with magazine clippings when I was younger and have since shown my girls how fun it can be. (They both have collage albums of their own.) So, while I was brainstorming what to create, I had an epiphany to use the pile of magazine pages.

I obviously wanted to include touches of gold with these projects - inking my press plates with gold and with the die cuts as well. The details in both of these die sets is absolutely stunning too!
I used the Radiant Starburst BetterPress Plate BP-300 from the Classic Road Legends Collection with the fan above. It gave me rising sun vibes.

This collection was a blast! I created a Father's Day card for my dad using his sporty muscle car as inspiration and couldn't resist creating a more feminine classic car too using floral cardstock. The speedometer is for my husband's birthday. :) The patterned paper and background stencil are from La-La Land Crafts and the rev up sentiment is from Jaded Blossom.
I used the negative from diecutting the Reel Color Etched Dies S4-1439 to create the sun in the background. Never waste! Hee hee
