This beach babe brought some fries with that shake! ;) I love creating treat holders and this french fry box is perfect for stuffing full of snacks. I loved the pose on this blue suited beauty and fussy cut her out to adorn the front of the box. The "BEACH BABE" sentiment had the star, I just glued an iridescent one over top (perfect fit!) and adhered over her shoulder. To balance the design, this happy sun was added to the left side of our babe, who was adhered with foam squares for extra impact. (Note: I did intend to foil the sentiment but, alas, my wee Minc is still on a shelf at the other place. So I used as is which still works beautifully.)
Anyone else see a sand-witch? :) Her pointy sunhat was apparently all I needed (and maybe her black swimsuit helped as well). I sized the image to 3.5" x 2.5" to create this ATC. It did stretch the image a wee bit across its width but it honestly creates a healthier feel for this beach babe anyway (if I may be honest). I typed the sentiment on my computer, making the American Typewriter font white and the text box black. I cut the sentiment leaving a white border and adhered to the ATC as shown with a bit of dimension. A trio of sparkly things finished this simple project.
Oh my goodness, how I love these hand mirrors! I sized the Sirens to fit inside the mirror frame piece and then die cut them with the stitched oval from the die set so they would fit perfectly behind the frame. I chose not to make them shakers simply because I didn't want to cover their beautiful faces. I chose my colors based upon those in the images, pulling the pinks from the corals on the left and the cooler purples from the fish on the right. Happily, the mermaid tail bow came with the die set! (Super bonus!) I curled the tails with my fingers to give just that extra bit of dimensional interest. A smattering of sequins, matching sentiments, and I was done!
