Happy Monday! I had fun creating this fun gift tag and customized gift wrap using Downland Crafts Baby Girl A6 clear stamp set. This fun coordinating set was a fun project (my youngest little fairy L had fun unwrapping the box immediately after snapping these pictures).
After digging through my pile of paper scraps, the idea to paper piece the onesie became the obvious choice, accenting the tag hole with the same beautiful plaid. A single Doodlebug Designs mini flower sticker made the perfect accent to her bodysuit. The clothesline was stamped directly onto the tag, and the clothes were colored with pencils. To "ground" the baby, I cut a playful lawn from some soft green plaid paper in my stash, since the color matched that in the baby's onesie. Then, I colored the sweet baby girl and her rattle with my Copic markers, and added her to the tag with foam tape, with a double layer behind the rattle top for greater dimension and interest. The sentiment was from my stash.
The gift wrap was created by randomly stamping the baby block and rattle images over the surface of a large piece of white paper. I used regular printer paper since it is thinner and easier to wrap around a gift box. I selected Catherine Pooler inks that matched that sweet, colorful plaid print. Instead of a traditional bow, I chose to use an elastic hair band with bow, adding an extra bonus treat for sweet baby girl. I hope you will consider using your stamps for backgrounds off the card; this will not be the last project like this I think. Until next time.. hugs from the fairy elf!
