Angie's Digital Stamps Challenge #21

I have so many fun announcements this month!  I will be joining Angie's Digital Stamps as a designer for their monthly challenge blog!  

Challenge #21 is Anything Goes with an optional Bingo twist--include any three across, down, or diagonally.  This is a fun way to work with items you may not grab.  I jotted down my notes wrong and used several items from the board, but neglected to complete a single row (face palm).  Luckily, this is an optional twist, so you do not have to do it, but it does make it a fun challenge.

The challenge is open through the month of June, so you have plenty of time to join in the fun!  

I selected her image Fairy with Toadstool House since I am, well, the Fairy and love some mushrooms.  I colored the image with Copic markers, creating a silhouette with the fairy image.  For the background, I inked the edges of a purple panel cut to 4" x 5.25" with Black Soot distress ink, creating a vignette in the center.  To ground the colored image, I cut a grassy lawn for the fairy to rest upon, inking the bottom edge.  The magical twinkle in the sky was created with Nuvo's Moonstone Shimmer Paste and Carta Bella's Christmas Sky stencil.  Doesn't it create a perfect magical backdrop?

I embossed the sentiment from Avery Elle's Pixie Dust stamp set in white on a wide strip of vellum.  I tucked the toadstool house behind the grass and had the fairy tucked behind and in front of the grass a bit.  The lower portion of the image is glued flat to the card panel, but the top of the mushroom and the fairy's head were attached with foam tape for dimension.  The panel was then mounted onto a purple top-folding A2 card base.

I think the center of the card almost glows and the pixie dust twinkle adds the perfect amount of magic.  Don't forget to visit the Challenge for other DT inspiration and to link up your cards and projects!  Until next time.. xo
